Eucharist in memory of Carlos Ruidavets
On August 10th, the Spanish Jesuit Carlos Ruidavets was murdered in Peru at 73 years of age. The crime shook the international community, the educational community of the country and the indigenous communities of the area, with which the missionary had shared life during the past 38 years. Carlos was the director of the Fe y Alegría school in Yamakentsa, in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon.
Entreculturas, organization of Fe y Alegría in Spain, will host the XLVII Congress of the International Federation of Fe y Alegría, which will be held this week in Madrid, and which will bring together representatives from the 22 countries of Latin America, Africa and Europe where this movement is implemented. On the occasion of this meeting, the Federation of Fe y Alegría will join the celebration of a Eucharist for the life and work of Carlos on Thursday, September 27th at 8 pm at the Church of San Francisco de Borja in Madrid (Maldonado).
